Changing of the guard at the Palace

One of the most traditional ceremonies at La Moneda Palace, it takes place every two days at Plaza de la Constitución since 1851.

The Carabineros de Chile guard change involves the shift change of those responsible for securing the seat of the executive branch. It starts at Paseo Bulnes and ends at Plaza de la Constitución.

The ceremony occurs at 10:00 a.m. on even days in January, March June, July, September and October and on odd days in February, April, May, August, November and December.
